A
long time ago, a young couple had a desire to love the children around
them. They did this by being involved in the childrens' lives. The more
they became involved in the community, the more they realized a need
that wasn't being met.
The best way
they knew how to meet this need was to create a special summer camping
experience. And so in 1965 they had summer camp.
We have had 42 summer camps now.
Part
of the dream was to create an exciting and meaningful camp experience
to children of all backgrounds. In order to stay true to that mission,
we rely on the support of the community to help meet our financial
goals and keep our camping program strong. The goal of the annual
benefit auction is to help subsidize the costs of loving kids through
community and program.
Bethany
Birches Camp's 5th Annual Benefit Auction was a huge success, thanks to
so many different people $21,000 was raised. Many Vermont youth will be
happy to attend camp when they otherwise couldn't have!
Join us for the 6th Annual Benefit Auction - Saturday, September 27, 2008.
